How do you not love Vince Carter? The dude brought us so much enjoyment in his early days with the Raptors—essentially made that franchise—and has somehow reinvented himself to the point that he’s been able to hang around long enough to score 25,000 points.
He’s never won an NBA title and really stopped being Vinsanity since midway through his time with the Nets (some might argue post-Toronto altogether), but I think this dude is a Hall of Famer. You can’t tell the story of the late ‘90s and the first decade of the 2000s without bringing up Vince. I mean, if you say “Vince” to anyone who knows anything about sports, that’s who they’re thinking of.
Doesn’t hurt to reach this major milestone and hang around in the league as long as he has.
And it’s too perfect that it came on a slam against his old squad. Storybook ending.
