I put a lot of effort into this piece in terms of hidden meaning within the art. The idea is that Jon Lester pitched game five of the World Series that finally broke the 107 year curse. Within his jersey are slightly faint images of incredible pitchers of the Cubs past. The vision I had is that he is pitching in game five to keep them in the series down to Cleveland on behalf of all the great pitchers who were a part of the “cursed” 107 years. They went on to win the World Series as most you know…. “Lester” . 11×14 mixed media, acrylic paint and digital stencil on birchwood . Please leave your thoughts if you care to, I love reading your feedback. . Her art pretty much speaks for itself. You can find more and purchase any of Lauren Taylor’s art at

But there’s more to her story than just making awesome art. She took some time on Seams Legit, presented by AXIS bats (, to tell her story and how her art is a vehicle to help a greater cause.
