Pitcher’s should never, ever ever show up teammates, especially their catchers. Catchers work their asses off for no glory whatsoever.
Having said that, whatever Severino is complaining about, he’s in the right. Sanchez SUCKS behind the plate and needs to be reminded of that everyday until he either stops catching or gets better.
What I’m really looking forward to: how will the Yankees handle the catching situation when they finally trade for a new pitcher by the deadline?
J.A. Happ said on the podcast that working with a new catcher is the toughest thing a pitcher deals with when they’re traded mid-season. Imagine if that new catcher happens to be the worst defensive catcher in all of baseball.
