And he didn’t even have to take a naked picture with a champagne bottle.
I think it’s pretty safe to say people, or at least the vocal ones, aren’t too pleased with McHale for attending a Donald Trump rally in Minnesota.
While everyone on both sides have been losing their minds, I’m still waiting for an answer to what I think is the greater question in all this:
Why does anyone go to these rallies in the first place?
This goes for democratic, republican, green party, tea party, whatever. I can’t say I’ve ever been to one, but they seem like the biggest waste of time.
Rally attendee 1: “Let’s go yell and scream, then listen to someone who tells us what we’re already thinking and how the people who think differently are stupid!”
Rally attendee 2: “Yeah, then (insert speaker’s name) can say how they plan to do (X, Y, Z), but how they need our money and help to do basically all the work for them, but we’ll support them anyway!”
Rally attendee 1: “I see literally nothing wrong with this idea!”
Believe it or not, I can think of at least 50 things I’d rather do with my Friday night (one being watch 5 hours of Cleveland Browns game film from last season). I don’t know if I could even bring myself to attend one of these rallies just to mock it. I think I’d actually fall asleep on my feet (yes, I know people would be yelling, I can sleep through quite a bit).
So I agree, McHale needs to take a serious look in the mirror and ask himself why the hell he was at this rally. Because didn’t he have something better to do with his time.
