Seams Legit: Chris Paul had to answer a question directed at James Harden because he has the inability to compose himself

Now I’m not typically a Chris Paul fan , always felt there was a little too much hype surrounding him. Very good player, but I just think people tend to hype him up a bit too much.

Then again, I look at his 2K rating and he’s a 90 this year, which I’d say is about right. I digress.

This is about James Harden getting asked a question by a reporter that I thought was actually pretty good:

You might be able to nit-pick the WAY it was asked, but the reporter got the point across — did the Rockets change the way they handled Karl-Anthony Towns in Game 3.

Harden looks at Paul laughs it off like the reporter asked him, “Do you take the matchup with player X personally,” or something stupid like that.

Paul smiled and kind of laughed a little, but what else was he supposed to do there? Otherwise Harden would probably be annoyed with him, too.

Paul answered the question though. Even said “sorry” at the end of his statement. Maybe he did it because he couldn’t help the reporter out, but either way he did what was apparently very difficult for Harden.

A non-answer is fine. Lord knows players and coaches do that all the time. It’s also understandable that either guy would be upset after the loss. But when a reporter is doing THEIR JOB and asks a decent question there’s no reason to handle it like Harden did.

Could’ve easily gone like this:

Reporter: “Seemed like you were handing KAT differently later in the game, was that by design?”

Harden: “No, we did nothing differently.”

Reporter: “Nothing at all?”

Harden: “Nope.”

Actually, I take that back. That was difficult.
